"The Ultimate Guide: Pay Your PC Mastercard at Lightning Speed"

On September 25th, 2013 at 10:32 pm, a user named SnoopDop, self-described as a "Deal Addict" from Kanada, voiced concern in a public forum regarding their credit limit on their PC Mastercard. They were worried about exceeding their limit due to the card being almost maxed and accruing interest that would be added to their next statement. SnoopDop questioned whether an in-person payment at a CIBC branch the following day would be applied to their card immediately, as it is connected to PC Mastercard as a partner. Despite contacting PC customer service twice, their representatives were unable to provide a clear answer.

A forum member named airodyssey responded with a suggestion to apply for a limit increase, as it could take effect immediately if approved. They also provided a link to the PC Mastercard website which outlines three methods of payment: online, by mail, or in-person at a partnering financial institution. These institutions may charge a fee for the service and payments made in-branch may take up to 10 business days to reach the PC Mastercard account. However, payments are posted to the cardholder's account the day the PC Financial Mastercard receives notice of the payment. The partnering financial institutions include ATB Financial, Bank of Montreal, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Desjardins, HSBC, Laurentian Bank, National Bank, RBC Financial Group, Scotiabank, TD Canada Trust, and most credit unions.

Discussion on PC Mastercard Payment Methods

On a RedFlagDeals forum thread, users discuss the best ways to make a payment on a PC Mastercard for prompt processing. One user, SnoopDop, asks if an in-person payment at a CIBC branch will hit the card on the same day due to the partnership between PC Mastercard and CIBC. However, another user, taurus25, suggests making the payment via a PCF account or any bank's online banking system, ensuring safety. Meanwhile, bluebellrose advises users to make payments a couple of days before the due date as PCF usually takes two days for a payment to process. Finally, Newman26 suggests paying through PCF and giving several days prior to the due date to guarantee processing.

Inquiring minds are asking: why have a credit card without a bank account? CC holder User455957 seems to have found herself in this peculiar situation. And even though Deal Addict sandeeS insists she's "hooped," there still might be hope for User455957. According to bluebellrose, if she had made her payment a few days ago, she could have avoided PCF's two-day payment processing delay. Now her best bet is to make a payment ASAP and then request a limit increase. Of course, it's always better not to carry a balance-- as for everything else, there's Mastercard. By the way, westnylefx reminds us that Trudeau can't be bought, except, perhaps, by the liberal cabinet.

2. How is it possible to have a credit card but not have a bank account? O.o

I'm with PC Financial, but there are no tellers for that bank.

Are you suggesting no online bill payment option is available for PC?

I strongly suspect he's too old-fashioned and trying to avoid online bill payment.

Since PC Mastercard partners with CIBC, will an in-person payment at a CIBC branch tomorrow hit my card on the same day?

You might be able to pay it the same day at a PC Financial ATM in a Loblaw's / RCSS. You can just deposit cash.

You can pay in-branch at the following institutions, but there is no guarantee that it will be processed right away:

  • ATB Financial
  • Bank of Montreal
  • Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce
  • Desjardins
  • HSBC
  • Laurentian Bank
  • National Bank
  • RBC Financial Group
  • Scotiabank
  • TD Canada Trust
  • Most credit unions
  • The best method is probably to ask for a limit increase, in my opinion.

Pc MasterCard is the worst one as my account was closed after being a loyal customer for 2 years and never missing a payment.

As a result, I lost all the points with them, and they lost me as a customer.
