Italy and England will commence their Euro 2024 qualifying campaigns with a game at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples on Thursday.

The two teams are the key players in Group C, alongside Malta, North Macedonia, and Ukraine, and have encountered each other frequently in recent times. 

Most notably, the Italians managed to surpass England through a penalty shootout at Wembley Stadium to become the winners of Euro 2020. Additionally, they were grouped together in the UEFA Nations League in 2022.
