The "The Hardest Race in the Most Beautiful Place" 2022 Giro started on May 6 in Budapest. On May 29th, 2022, the Grand Tour will conclude in picturesque Verona after winding its way around the Italian peninsula.

Egan Bernal (Ineos Grenadiers) won the Giro de Italia in 2016. After a training accident in January left him with 20 broken bones, Bernal, only the second Colombian to win the Italian grand tour, decided not to return to defend his title.

Who do you think will win the coveted pink jersey at the 2022 Giro d'Italia? The 2019 winner, Richard Carapaz, can go on a long breakaway, and the 2017 winner, Tom Dumoulin (Jumbo-Visma), will enjoy the race's 51 kilometers of challenging climbs. Simon Yates (BikeExchange-Jayco) finished third at the Giro, but he hasn't reached his full potential.
