Quickly earn PC Optimum points with these 8 methods.
Efficiently Accumulating PC Optimum Points
If you're familiar with Real Canadian Superstore, Shoppers Drug Mart or other Loblaw banner stores, the PC Optimum Rewards Program may have captured your attention.

In Canada, I believe that this rewards program is one of the best, and it's fantastic.
But before we dive into how to quickly earn PC Optimum Points, here is a brief overview of the program:
About the PC Optimum Rewards Program:
- You can register for a PC Optimum account without any charges.
- Use your PC Optimum card or app to acquire points when you shop at eligible Loblaw stores.
At Shoppers Drug Mart, get 15 points for every $1.00 you spend.
Esso and Mobil stations across Canada offer 10 points per liter.
You can earn points for shopping at Superstores, Loblaws, Zehrs, No Frills, and other Loblaw grocery stores by subscribing to in-store offers and digital personal offers available in the app and/or in flyers.
You can redeem 10,000 points for $10 worth of goods at any Loblaw store.
Redemptions are in multiples of 10,000 points, such as $10, $20, $30, and so on; ultimately, you can redeem up to 500,000 points or $500 at a time.
Efficiently Accumulating PC Optimum Points
Collecting and redeeming PC Optimum Points is a breeze, which is why this reward program has become one of the most beloved loyalty programs in Canada.
Luckily, I have a few suggestions or tips to help maximize the number of points you earn each shopping trip.
1. Make the Most of Your Weekly Personalized Offers
When you register for PC Optimum, you'll receive weekly emails with personalized offers that will most likely reflect your purchasing habits.
For instance, this week, one of my personalized offers is 200 points for every $1.00 spent on strawberries. Since I usually buy strawberries, I'll automatically receive the points when I present my PC Optimum card or app at the checkout counter. You can also collect points when grocery pick-up shopping with PC Express.
Every Thursday at midnight, the new weekly personalized offers come alive, and they're valid until the following Wednesday.
2. Save Your Personalized Offers for Later
Because personalized offers change weekly, some offers may be useless to you in a given week. For example, you already purchased that item or perhaps you're out of town. If you know you'll need a specific item for next week's shopping, you can save up to four offers for the following week.
For example, I have a 600-point offer for every $3 spent on PC frozen fruit. I don't need any frozen fruit this week; however, since my family enjoys smoothies, I'll save this offer for next week when we'll need more.
It could also be beneficial to save offers so that you can wait for a sale to buy them. It's fantastic when you can snag something on discount and earn points at the same time! I think you can save the same offer more than once.
3. Choose 'Don't Show Again'
On rare occasions, you may come upon an offer that is just not useful to you, ever. Instead of deferring it for another week, you can choose "Don't Show Again," and the offer will be disregarded.
This is an excellent method to tweak your personalized offers to align with your standard grocery shopping. When the offers expire on Thursday, they'll be much more useful to you.
4. Browse the Weekly Flyers for Exclusive In-Store Offers
Flip through your flyers to find some fantastic points offers like 'Score 1,500 PC Optimum Points on buying 2 participating products.' I nabbed 1,600 points by simply purchasing a rotisserie chicken, as the deal was 1,600 points for every spent on hot or chilled ready-to-go meals. You can also get bonus offers like 'Get 8,000 Bonus PC Optimum Points if you spend $40 or more on these participating brands.' The best part is that you can use coupons (if applicable), maximizing your earnings on products and points with these bonus offers!

5. Check the App for Bonus Points Events
Before you head to the store, check the app for bonus point events like the current offer of 20,000 points when you spend or more on almost anything in-store at Shoppers Drug Mart.
6. Sign Up for PC Optimum Insiders
Joining the PC Optimum rewards program is free, but subscribing to the PC Optimum Insiders program comes with an annual fee of $119. Several satisfied PC Insiders report recouping their investment in points quite swiftly. Especially if you regularly purchase President's Choice products or use the PC Express grocery pickup, the PC Optimum Insiders subscription is a wise investment. This subscription provides a range of benefits, including 10% back on all PC® products, free PC Express™ grocery pickup with priority time slots (a $3 to $5 value per pickup), free shipping, no minimum purchase required, and 10% back on all JOE FRESH products. Additionally, PC Travel bookings, including car rentals, hotel bookings, flights, and vacation packages, earn 5% back in points.
7. Leverage the PC Financial Mastercard
If you're shopping at Loblaws, Superstore, or Shoppers Drug Mart and have a credit card in use, the PC Financial Mastercard could be worthwhile. Three different cards are available, depending on your income and expenditure: the PC Financial Mastercard, which gives 25 PC Optimum points for every $1 spent at Shoppers Drug Mart and 10 points for every $1 spent at PC grocery stores, and 10 points on all other purchases; the PC Financial World Mastercard, which provides 35 PC Optimum points for every $1 spent at Shoppers Drug Mart and 20 points for every $1 spent at PC grocery stores; finally, the PC Financial World Elite Mastercard, which offers 45 PC Optimum points for every $1 spent at Shoppers Drug Mart and 30 points for every $1 spent at PC grocery stores.
8. Top up Your Points Balance by Refueling at Mobil and Esso
Earn additional points by filling gas at Mobil and Esso gas stations! As a PC Optimum member, you earn ten points per liter. Besides, when you pay with a PC Financial Mastercard, you will get at least 30 points per liter.
Keep in Mind
Section 7 of the terms & conditions clearly indicates that point accrual and redemption are not applicable to gift cards. Despite this limitation, the PC Optimum program remains highly beneficial, particularly for regular shoppers at Loblaw banner stores and Shoppers Drug Mart. It is a delightful experience accumulating points and exchanging them for a shopping spree, where one can splurge on anything they desire, free of any charge. Personally, I find redeeming my points for fancy clothes or essential home appliances quite satisfying.
