Making a Conference Call or Three-Way Call on an iPhone: A Guide

If you're an iPhone user, you might not know that you can make conference calls or speak with multiple people at the same time right from your device. Here's how to do it:

1. Start by initiating a regular phone call.

2. Once you're on the line, tap the Add Call button to make another call. The first person will be placed on hold.

3. After you've spoken to the second person, tap the Merge Calls button to seamlessly connect all parties and create a three-way conference call.

4. If you want to add more people, simply repeat steps 2 and 3. The maximum number of calls you can merge depends on your cellular carrier, but generally up to five calls can be accommodated.

To add an incoming call to the conference call, simply tap Hold Call and Answer when the new call comes in. Then tap Merge Calls to connect the new caller to the existing group.

If you need to hang up on one caller, tap the Conference button and select the red phone icon next to the call you want to end. Then choose End Call.

In case you need to speak to one person privately, tap the Conference button and select Private next to the caller you want to speak with. This will create a separate one-on-one conversation. To rejoin the group, simply tap Merge Calls.
