Sharing a verifiable health record

When an approved app requests access to your information, you have the option to share your verifiable health records with third-party apps. You have control over which specific records you choose to share, and the sharing occurs only once with the app. It's important to note that third-party apps do not have continuous access to the verifiable health records that you decide to share.

The advantage of these records being in a verifiable format is that if you decide to share your lab result and immunization records with third-party apps, such as businesses or event venues, they can verify that the record was indeed issued by the relevant lab test or vaccine provider, and that it has not been tampered with since it was issued.

Please note that Apple is not involved in the verification process of third-party apps and does not have access to this data when it is imported or shared.
