Considerations regarding the definition of "income"

The alternatives to working from home are:
- The CWLB disqualifies those who have the option to work remotely (telework).

- you went somewhere for official medical care

If you are receiving the benefit for a period beginning in 2022, you must file your 2021 and 2022 tax returns by December 31, 2023. If you are receiving the benefit for a period beginning in 2021, you must file your 2021 tax return by December 31, 2022.
You will lose your right to this benefit if your application is not submitted by the deadlines. Payments already made to you must be returned. To qualify for the CWLB, you must satisfy all of the following conditions.
Please take into consideration that most people who are currently incarcerated, whether in prison or another institution, will not qualify under all of the eligibility criteria. Those who are on day parole or have the legal right to look for work may qualify.
Checking your qualifications

Steps to take when submitting proof of identity

- Click the button labeled "Submit documents" (located in the upper right corner).
- Type in your reference or case number here.
